Fundraising

Fundraising is an important activity that allows parents, carers, the  local community and local businesses to to contribute financially to the learning experience at James Gillespies High School.

The Parent Council raises funds for the school in a number of different ways, including selling refreshments at events and asking for donations via ParentPay and Easyfundraising.  The money we raise is held in our Small Sums Fund.

Small Sums Fund

The Parent Council Small Sums Fund is distributed to the school regularly via awards made to staff projects.  In the past year the Fund has supported a number of projects including: subscriptions to periodicals, specialist books and equipment for learners with additional support needs, specialist art equipment, and equipment for Duke of Edinburgh expeditions.

Please consider making a donation via ParentPay if you are able to do so.  The additional funds we provide make a real difference in supporting important educational projects, and in providing help to those children who need it most.

James Gillespie’s Trust

The Parent Council has also this year worked with the James Gillespie’s Trust to fund projects which support equity and attainment, such as nurture groups and the Pupil Equity Fund.
